What a difference a week makes! Last week my potatoes were barely poking out from the dirt, this week, WOW...
My mint has taken off as well. Can't wait to make this fantastic iced tea recipe I found this week at Southern Living with my mint harvest.
And finally, my very favorite flower in my garden...peonies. I have no idea the name of these lovelies. I call them my "Grandmother Flowers" as I inherited one from each of my grandmothers. They smell heavenly and I have at least 20 more buds ready to burst.
Thanks for visiting my blog! Your peonies are gorgeous! Don't they smell wonderful? We planted some purple potatoes I picked up at the Dekalb Farmers' Market a few weeks ago. (we live in Atlanta too). They are coming up and I couldn't believe it seeing how this is only my 2nd attempt at growing a garden. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by from Tuesdays garden party. Your garden looks great. I just planted mine last weekend. HOpe you can stop by and check it out sometime on www.alattewithotta.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers! I've got mint in my garden too - I'll have to check out your link to the Southern Living iced tea recipe!
ReplyDeleteI also have two peonies from my husband's grandma's that I don't know the names of, but are very special to us. I did have to add about 7 others because I love them. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating in the Tuesday Garden Party!
